Welcome to My Little Corner of the Internet

"You control your destiny, you don't need magic to do it." - Merida

Do you remember being a little girl and dreaming about what your life would look like someday?

Fast forward twenty-plus years...

Did your life turn out exactly how you imagined?

Mine certainly didn't.

When I was little, I had the whole thing planned out. There was a yellow house with a wraparound porch and two rocking chairs. My husband and I would sit outside every evening while our 2.5 perfectly behaved children played in the front yard behind a white picket fence. Of course, there was also a golden retriever named Penny because every dream life needs a golden retriever named Penny.

Life was supposed to be perfect.

Easy.

Predictable.

Beautiful in all the ways I imagined.

Instead, God gave me something completely different.

And honestly?

Something so much better.

The yellow house happened for about 3 years but no white picket fence or Penny the golden retriever.

As it turns out, I didn't need the yellow house, the white picket fence, or Penny the golden retriever. God was writing a far better story than the one I imagined for myself.

Instead, I have an incredible husband of more than fourteen years, three amazing daughters, a slightly crazy Jack Russell Chihuahua mix, a big teddy bear of a lab mix, and a life that has taken me places I never could have planned on my own.

Hi, I'm Whitney.

I'm a wife, mom of three girls, co-lead pastor alongside my husband, runner, Disney enthusiast, coffee lover, and professional wearer of too many hats.

Life has taken our family all over the country from Pennsylvania to Maryland, from Florida to Wyoming, and soon back to Florida again. Along the way we've collected stories, lessons, adventures, and more than a few moments where God completely rewrote our plans.

This blog is where all of those worlds come together.

You'll find stories from ministry and lessons God is teaching me.

You'll find honest conversations about motherhood, marriage, and raising three daughters.

You'll find encouragement for parents navigating life with a deaf child because trust me, I remember what it felt like to hear those words and wonder where to even begin.

You'll find Disney tips, travel advice, favorite snacks, park strategies, and probably more Mickey ears than any reasonable person should own.

You'll find reflections on faith, recipes from my kitchen, weight loss and wellness updates, book recommendations, and the occasional rambling thought that won't leave my heart until it's written down.

In other words, you'll find real life.

Because I am definitely not your average pastor or pastor’s wife (because remember I’m both).

Our family doesn't fit neatly into a box, and honestly, I wouldn't want it to.

We believe Jesus belongs in every part of life, not just Sunday mornings.

You'll see that reflected here.

Some days we'll talk theology.

Some days we'll talk Disney.

Some days we'll talk about parenting, marriage, grief, joy, hearing loss, ministry, makeup, running races, moving across the country, or chasing dreams that feel impossible.

And sometimes we'll talk about all of those things at once.

If you're looking for someone who has everything figured out, you won't find her here.

But if you're looking for someone willing to share the journey, the victories, the mistakes, the lessons learned the hard way, and the moments where God's faithfulness showed up when it was least expected, then welcome.

I'm so glad you're here.

So grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and stay awhile.

Let's talk about Jesus, Disney, motherhood, ministry, and this wonderfully messy life we're all trying to navigate.

I can't wait to share the journey with you.

And don’t forget …. On Wednesday’s we wear Mickey ears. <3

XOXO Whitney
